Wormit Works

09 January 2018

Scottish Water is due to begin work on two outfall pipes in Wormit on Monday 15 January 2018 for around three weeks.

The work on the shore will be near adjacent to two properties on Riverside Road. The work will involve extending one outfall pipe by 6 metres to meet the watermark and constructing a concrete surround.

The second existing outfall pipe and manhole cover will then be replaced. Access to work locations on the shore will be from the site compound located on Woodhaven pier.

Scott Fraser, Scottish Water’s corporate affairs regional manager, said: “During the work there may be some disruption due to construction noise and machinery accessing the site.

“We will do all we can to keep disruption to a minimum, however, some aspects of this work is tide dependent and could be subject to delays.

“We’d like to thank the local community in advance for their patience and understanding whilst this essential work is carried out.”
