Improvements to water network in Shettleston Road, Glasgow

11 January 2018

Residents in Shettleston Road, Glasgow, are being advised of some road works during improvements to the water mains infrastructure in the area.

Work is due to start on Monday 15 January and will last approximately two weeks.

Road traffic management has been arranged in liaison with Glasgow City Council’s roads department to enable the work to take place, and will include the closure of one lane eastbound on Shettleston Road between Westmuir Street and Old Shettleston Road.

Ruaridh MacGregor, Scottish Water Corporate Affairs Regional Manager, said:

“This work is necessary to improve our customers’ security of water supply and reduce the risk of burst pipes on our network.

“Scottish Water apologises for any inconvenience and thanks any affected residents and road users in advance for their patience and understanding.”
