Road at Loch Katrine reopened

04 December 2017

A section of road on the north shore of Loch Katrine has been reopened following the completion of repair work after a land slip.

The work started in early September and required the closure of a section of North Road, north west of the Trossachs Pier and Loch Katrine Visitor Centre, and a diversion via Glenside, Stronachlachar, the B829 to Aberfoyle, and the B821 to the visitor centre and Sir Walter Scott car park.

Ruaridh Macgregor, Scottish Water’s corporate affairs manager, said: “This work at Loch Katrine was essential to repair the road after the land slip and we are delighted to have completed it.

“Completion of the work has enabled us to re-open the affected section of road, which we know will be welcomed by local residents and other road users. We would like to thank customers for their patience and understanding during our work.”
