Traffic management in place in Perth City Centre for one day of roadworks on 4th February


The work will be taking place on East Bridge Street at the junction with Gowrie Street and will see traffic management in place from around 6am, with work starting at 8am.

Work has started on a £2.8m investment project to improve Scottish Water’s waste water infrastructure and tackle flooding in Greenock town centre.

Last week Stuart McMillan MSP and Ronnie Cowan MP visited the site at the Bullring Car Park where the first phase of work began on Monday 12 January 2017.

Early completion of upgrade to water mains network in Cumbernauld


Scottish Water has completed a major upgrade to its water mains network in Cumbernauld ahead of schedule, improving its service to customers in the area.

The utility invested around £2.8m in major improvements to part of the local water mains network to provide customers with additional resilience and security of supply.

Angus sewer wipes haul prompts call to help keep the water cycle moving


Scottish Water is urging customers in the Angus area to remember their bathroom checklist and help keep the water cycle moving after a recent sewer blockage in the area.

A Scottish Water team was called out to a blockage recently in Monifeith and found hundreds of wipes clogging up the network.

In total the team filled five rubbish bags with wipes that had been dumped into a single section of sewer.

Switch to water bottle refills to reduce plastic rubbish, Scots urged


Scots are being asked to make the switch to re-usable bottles filled with tap water to help tackle plastic waste in our communities.
