Technical Apprenticeships


As an engineering apprentice you will spend your first year at college really developing your knowledge and gaining the qualifications you will need to start your promising career in engineering. After your first year you will continue gaining qualifications while getting real work experience, gaining the operational and technical skills you will need to provide a multi-skilled electrical and mechanical service which ensures the safe operation of our treatment plants and equipment.

Water Industry

Join us as a water industry apprentice and you’ll soon play a key role in delivering high quality drinking water and safely collecting and treating waste water for our customer across Scotland. You will get real work experience by being involved in a variety of different jobs - from water transportation to developing new technologies and processes. We’ll invest in your development by allowing you to study for qualifications along the way to make sure you have all the skills and knowledge you’ll need to take your career to wherever you ambition leads you.

Repair and Maintenance

If you are technically minded and good with your hands then this is the ideal role for you. As a repair and maintenance apprentice you will play a vital role in creating and maintaining our water and waste water network. Working with our experienced team you will develop your skills and the work experience and qualifications you will gain will set you up for a bright and rewarding career in repair and maintenance.

Asset Management

If you’re looking for a role that combines diverse work experience with qualifications then you have come to the right place. As an asset management apprentice you will play a vital role in monitoring the condition and performance of our assets. You will work closely with experienced team members from across the business who will help develop you knowledge and technical expertise. All this will open up a wide range of opportunities for you to develop your career and expertise in whatever way you choose.

 What you will need
 5 Standard Grades OR National level 4/5 OR equivalent including English, Maths and any Science
 2 Highers OR a relevant technical qualification OR a minimum of 1 year of technical experience
