How it works

How it works

SHARC heat recovery technology is a result of six long years of research and development.

Multi-award winning, the heat recovery system works by extracting the natural warmth found within the waste water network, which surprisingly sits at around 21 degrees.

• Firstly, natural heated waste water that is flushed down the drain from showers, baths and dishwashers is filtered to remove solid waste.

• The waste water is then passed through a heat exchanger to extract the natural heat.

• Finally, a heat pump boosts the temperature even further before transferring the heat to the clean water network for use in commercial, private and public buildings.

The result is a low-carbon, sustainable and environmentally friendly heating solution, which can be used for cooling by simply reversing the process.
