Molly the Mole, Scottish Water’s tunnelling machine that has completed a 1.2km storm water sewer under Airdrie, has been raised from the ground at an event attended by local councillors Jim Logue and David Stocks.

We are investing in your local area to help improve the natural environment in Airdrie. This work will increase the capacity of the storm water network and reduce the risk of sewer related debris entering into the local environment.

This work will also minimise flooding risk in and around Cairnhill Road and Airdrie Railway Station.
