Meet the Team

Joe Ruddy

Joe Ruddy is the senior project manager for the Airdrie Environmental Project. He has been with Scottish Water and it's predecessors for 33 years. His background is in design, supervision of contractors on site for a variety of civil projects including treatment works, major pipelines & tunnels, rising mains etc.

In the last five years Joe has concentrated on management of dozens of small value capital projects and programmes. Most recently he has taken on the role of Senior Project Manager overseeing the completion of projects, hence his involvement with the Airdrie project.

Iain Jones

Iain Jones is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Measurement and Control. He has worked previously for Shell and Sir J.H Biles (Naval Services) Limited. He undertook a number of project management related roles within these organisations, including latterly acting as the Project Manager for the Refit and Conversion of the FRY Britannia for Forth Ports PLC.   

He has 15 years experience within the Water Industry where he has undertaken a number of roles. For the last four years, he has been undertaking the role of Environmental Asset Planning Team Leader within Scottish Waters Asset Investment Management function.

Brian Dalton

Brian Dalton is the project manager for the Airdrie Environmental Project. Brian has worked for Scottish Water in its various guises for 28 years. Most of Brian's experience has been in waste water infrastructure involving streetworks.

Latterly Brian has overseen the delivery of numerous waste water projects in a similar vein to Airdrie.

Anne-Marie Dewar

Anne-Marie Dewar is the regional community manager for the Airdrie project and has extensive experience engaging with communities across Scotland. She is also the interface between Scottish Water and your local elected representatives, including MSPs.

Fran Millar

Fran Millar is the project communications adviser and is responsible for making sure that customers are communicated with in a timely fashion to update them on the latest project information.

Richard Aitchison

Richard Aitchison is the delivery manager for the project and represents Byzak Ltd at community events. Working alongside Richard are Kris Cameron and Paul Cowie.

William Ancell

William Ancell is the press officer covering the Airdrie area and supplies information to the local press about the project.
