Clatto Water Treatment Works
Our water treatment works, which is situated next to Clatto Country Park and serves the City of Dundee, has recently been the subject of a review to evaluate whether the depot and adjoining yard are still required. While the water treatment works remains an integral part of our water supply network to the City of Dundee, the depot and adjoining land is now surplus to our operational requirements.
We have been in regular dialogue with Dundee City Council about the redevelopment of the site for residential development.
A Proposal of Application Notice (PAN) was submitted to the Council’s Planning Department on 18 June in order to begin a period of consultation with the public, prior to the submission of any application for Planning Permission.
We are grateful for the responses that have so far been received during the consultation and also to those customers who visited our public exhibition on 23 August.
If anyone wishes to still make comments we ask that these are submitted by Tuesday 4 September 2012.
What happens next?
Your feedback will be collated and submitted together with our application for Planning Permission in Principle to Dundee City Council. This application will seek to establish that residential development is acceptable on this site but it will not include details of the number or type of houses or road layout and landscaping. This level of detail has not been fully developed and will be subject to a separate planning application to Dundee City Council at a later date.
Further updates will be available in due course, however if you would like any further information regarding the above then please do not hesitate to contact us in one of the following ways:
