About Volunteering in Scottish Water

Scottish Water runs a volunteering programme supporting employees who want to get involved in education, conservation and community activities.

Employee volunteering helps develop skills and teamwork, and strengthens the relationship we have with our communities.

There is a huge amount of passion within Scottish Water for volunteering and it’s a great way for our employees to get involved in their local communities.  Over the last year more than 500 of our employees have taken part in the volunteering programme.

Employee volunteering helps develop skills and teamwork, and strengthens the relationship we have with our communities, as well as supporting our Equality and Diversity outcomes. This allows us to improve our understanding of the different needs of people in the diverse communities we serve, helping us progress towards our organisational equality outcomes
