Volunteering at Edinburgh Zoo

A team of 6 from Corporate Communications in Scottish Water volunteered at Edinburgh Zoo on Friday 13th of July to help the Zoo’s maintenance team, who are responsible for looking after the grounds at the Zoo

Charlotte Halligan was one of the volunteers:

“It was hard work but really worthwhile and great fun. Wood staining the fence and resurfacing the children’s play areas was a lot harder than we expected, and we were all exhausted at the end of the day, but it was brilliant seeing the end results and knowing that we had contributed to people’s enjoyment of the Zoo.

As an added bonus we were able to visit Edinburgh’s most famous residents the giant pandas Tian Tian and Yang Guang.”

Edinburgh Zoo is owned by the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland and is a registered Charity.  Edinburgh Zoo promotes the conservation of animal species and wild places, through captive breeding, environmental education and scientific research.
