Bilston Water Mains

Work which will see the upgrading of aging water pipes in Bilston is due to start in the new year. The project will reduce the risk of bursts and ensure our customers continue to receive highest quality water possible; it will involve the replacement and re-lining of around 4km of old cast iron water mains.

Please note that due to a delay to our other works in Armadale, West Lothian, the start of this project have been affected. As soon as we have a new start date we will update our customers

Key project information:

  • Work will begin on Seafield Moor Road on Monday 16th January 2017.
  • There will be 4-way temporary traffic lights in use at the junction of Seafield Road and Seafield Moor Road from this date for approximately 6 weeks. The work will then move north to the junction of Seafield Moor Road and just past Hillwoodlea and will be in place for around four weeks. Thereafter, work will take place at the junction of Seafield Moor Road and Seafield Road for around four weeks Please follow all signs in place.
  • The project is expected to take a total of around 6 months to complete. 

The work will progress on a rolling programme which will include work on the following streets:

Myrtle Crescent
Park Avenue
Stanley Avenue
Eskgrove Drive
Meadow Place
