Craigellachie Sewer Upgrade

Scottish Water recently started work on a project which will help alleviate flooding issues in Victoria Street in Craigellachie.

The work involves the construction and installation of 102 metres of new 300mm diameter sewer pipes and 5 new manholes along Victoria Street and Edward Avenue.

Work started on 9th May 2017 and is expected to be completed by the end of August 2017. Construction started on Victoria Street and will progress up towards the Craigellachie Hotel then onto Edward Avenue.

There will be some traffic management, including temporary lights during this time. Please follow all signs in place.

In agreement with the Craigellachie Village Council, the site compound, including the office and area for the storage of materials, will be located on the hardstanding adjacent to Scottish Water’s pumping station between the tennis courts and the River Spey.

There may be a short time when pedestrian access on the ramp between Edward Avenue and Victoria Street may be limited or not available but we will make every attempt to maintain pedestrian access with a temporary route whenever possible.

The existing bus stop in Victoria Street will be relocated temporarily to Edward Avenue while we are working in Victoria Street.
