Earlston Pipeline Project

On 19th March, Scottish Water and alliance partners Caledonia Water Alliance, started work on a new 7KM pipeline to improve and secure water supplies in and around Earlston.

So far we have installed over 5km of pipe work and are using modern construction techniques to help minimise disruption to local people including digging small tunnels under main roads.
Commencing 23rd July, we will be working in the park in two phases for 6 weeks

Phase 1 – Installing the pipe across the river

Phase 2 – Installing the pipe across the park

Access to the park will be maintained throughout this work

The £4 million project is part of a wider Scottish Water initiative to improve the water quality and resilience of supplies, ensuring that customers continue to enjoy clear, fresh drinking water now and in the future.

The pipeline will run between Rhymers Stone and finish just North of Huntshaw Road in Earlston.

This webpage will be regularly updated as the project progresses.
