Clarkston Sewer Improvements

We are working in Clarkston to upgrade the sewer network to help protect local watercourse White Cart Water.

This £700K project involves the upsizing of the sewer pipes in Ashfield Road and Glendoune Road and the installation of an underground chamber at the junction of Eaglesham Road. This will improve capacity of the sewer network and improve the outfalls to local rivers and burns.

The work started on Eaglesham Road in July 2017and the project is expected to be completed by mid February 2018.

The work is being carried out in phases to help reduce the impact on the local community. The work stopped over the Christmas holidays and we shall start back on the 8th January 2018 to finish our works.

We shall reinstate the road and pavement back to normal.

Final Phase 3 - Ashfield Road - new inlet sewer

  • Short section of Glendoune Road to be temp closed between the junction of Ashfield Road and Eaglesham road
  • Start back date - 8th January 2018
  • Completion date – Mid February 2018
