As part of this overall project, upsizing of the existing sewer network is required in the grass area between Thronliebank Road and Fyvie Avenue to help reduce the risk of sewer flooding.

Work started on the 27th February 2017 and construction work is on track for completion in November 2017, with reinstatement of the stone wall and our working area to commence shortly after this.

What we need to do

Phase 1:

  • Remove 35 metres of the existing stone wall along Thronliebank Road
  • Remove 5 trees adjacent to the wall
  • Install hoarding and fencing around the site to enclose our works

Phase 2:

  • Excavate the green space down to the existing sewer network
  • Install a new concrete chamber over the sewer network
  • Carry out upgrades and modifications to the sewer network

Phase 3:

  • Reinstate the area to the same condition it was before we started, or better

  • Thornliebank Road bus land closed city-bound for duration of works
  • Fyvie Avenue to remain open during works
