Haymarket Terrace Sewer Upgrade

Welcome to the Haymarket Terrace project page, where you will find all the key information about what we are doing in Haymarket Terrace, Edinburgh and can keep up to speed with the latest progress throughout the project.

Work is starting in September on a £2.5m project to increase capacity and help alleviate flooding in the area.

We are laying a new 1.2m diameter storm storage sewer pipe along Haymarket Terrace. This will be carried out using an open-cut method which will require the closure of a section of Haymarket Terrace. This will be done in 4 mains phases (illustrated in the image below), starting on Haymarket Terrace at the junction with Magdala Crescent and moving East towards Haymarket Station.
