Waste recycling - we're;breaking new ground

At Scottish Water Waste Services, we are constantly striving to improve and update our services. Our new composting and organics recycling facility in central Scotland, with a liquid waste reception and sludge de-watering facility, maintains our position at the forefront of waste treatment technology.

The Deerdykes facility accepts a wide range of non-hazardous organic by-products and wastes that can be composted, including:

Garden wastes (leaves, grass, brush and tree limbs)
Wood by-products and papermill sludges
Pre- and post-consumer kitchen waste
Food processing/manufacturing by-products
Non-recyclable paper and card.

Delivery of garden waste from curb side collection
As your waste materials or feedstocks are received, they are processed and combined with other organic materials into appropriate mixtures for composting. A de-watering facility on site allows the management of solid organics by-products and liquids.
