What we're doing
We are improving the environment in the Newton Stewart area. Upgrading the existing wastewater treatment works will not only provide a cleaner, fresher environment, but it will also help support growth in the area, in line with local authority projections.

As well as improving the quality of the ‘silvery, winding Cree’ this investment will also provide additional capacity at the works, allowing for the expansion of this busy local hub and gateway to the beautiful Galloway Hills. This is in line with local authority projections for the area.

Local customers attended the Open Day at the McMillan Hall on Monday, 9th of June between 3pm and 7pm, where Scottish Water staff outlined details of the project and answered questions.
