Caring, working, delivering 24/7

What we're doing

Hundreds of customers in Kilwinning will enjoy improved services and clearer, fresher drinking water when Scottish Water completes improvement work on a stretch of water mains in the town.

The work will involve the replacement of more than 4.2km of water mains in an area of the town where some Scottish Water customers have been affected by a number of bursts in recent years.

Amount invested

Half a million pounds

Start date

End of May

End date

Late summer 2008

Partners

Scottish Water will work with Carillion on this project

Area Affected

The work will take place in the Cranberry Court and Ardmillon area of Kilwinning – a series of courtyards which is encompassed by Cranberry Road.

There will be some very short-term disruption to supply to customers when households are connected to the new mains but we will again make every effort to minimise this.
