Higher quality water in Lower Largo
What we're doing
Scottish Water carrying out a number of improvements to the drainage system which serves Lundin Links and Lower Largo that will enhance the water quality, protect the natural environment and improve the appearance of the waterfront in Largo Bay.
By upgrading Drum Park, The Temple, Golf Road and Drummochy Road pumping stations, the quality of the waste water will be greatly increased. New pumps will increase the reliability of Drum Park and Golf Road pumping stations and new screens are being installed at each of the four pumping stations.

Partners
Scottish Water Solutions, in conjunction with delivery partners Veolia Clancy, the investment in the area will total £1.6m and result in a modern and secure waste water management system with the towns.
Area Affected
At Main Street work has taken place to prevent discharge to the harbour and storm storage will be provided at the inlet works to the treatment works. Although a lot of work will be below ground and not visible, the benefits will be visible in improved water quality and reduced pollution around Largo Bay.
