Oh Water Night

What we're doing

Scottish Water helped keep the fun at East Lothian’s Linkylea Festival in full flow.

We are providing revellers with a source of bottled water to keep them hydrated during the festivities.

All proceeds will help children’s charities, both at home and abroad. The Childrens’ Hospice Association Scotland and GCH – the Gwalior Children’s Hospital in India, will both benefit.

Craig Lawson, Scottish Water’s Regional Manager for the Lothians was delighted to help two such worthy charities:

“The Linkylea Festival is a fantastic community event, with two very worthwhile causes at its heart. That’s why we are pleased to take a role as part of the local community. Bottled water supplies from Scottish Water will help to keep revellers hydrated as they enjoy the music and dancing.

“This is a community event which reaches out beyond the boundaries of East Lothian to help families from across Scotland. It is also about raising important funding for children in the Third World. This is also a subject which is close to our heart, with Scottish Water’s chosen charity, WaterAid, also helping families in this part of the world.”

Organiser, Lee Rollo is delighted with Scottish Water’s kind offer of bottled water supplies, to keep revellers refreshed:

“In Scotland we tend to take water for granted – we can turn on a tap any time of day or night and a stream of refreshing drinking water is available. For children growing up in this part of India it is the most precious of commodities. That is why we are so delighted that Scottish Water is onboard, and helping us to raise vital funds to help children in this part of the Third World.”
