Scottish Water Solutions - Delivering More For Less

Scottish Water Solutions will deliver around 70% of the Scottish Water's Capital Investment Programme.

It is a limited company, formed by Scottish Water and two consortia – United Utilities in partnership with Galliford Try and Morgan Est and Stirling Water, made up of Thames Water, Gleeson, KBR (Kellogg Brown and Root), MJ Gleeson and Alfred McAlpine, making it one of the largest partnering agreements of its kind and a first for the UK's water industry.

Scottish Water owns 51% of Scottish Water Solutions and retains overall responsibility for the delivery of the programme.

The introduction of experienced utilities and construction partners provides the opportunity to accelerate the pace of change in Scotland's water industry. The partners have had to make huge efficiency savings in the past fifteen years and Scottish Water will benefit directly from this experience.

Scottish Water Solutions will manage the delivery of over 1,230 projects across Scotland. These projects must be completed within the budget set by the Regulator, the Water Industry Commissioner for Scotland, and within deadlines demanded by UK and European legislation.
