Soiled for choice

Pod is a quality soil improver and can be used in a number of applications.

It is made from composted green and woody plant materials and is 100% peat free

The composting process is operated under a strict quality management system, which ensures a consistent and weed-free product.

Pod has a great number of uses, including:

As a soil improver

Pod can be used to improve soil structure and fertility. It also boosts the water holding capacity and adds organic matter to the soil. Spread the product in a layer 25-50mm thick and either dig in or allow the action of the weather and earthworms to incorporate into the soil.

Increased fertility of the soil

Increased fertility of the soil

For tree planting
Combine 4 parts excavated soil with 1 part Pod and use this mix to backfill the planting pit. A fertiliser is not required in the backfill mix, when using Pod.

For turf establishment

Our finely screened product is also available to use as a turf dressing. Apply a layer of Pod 25 - 50mm thick and incorporate, to a depth of 100 - 150mm and establish a good seed bed to produce a dense, dark gree, sward, without excessive growth.

These usage instructions are based on WRAP's (the Waste & Resource Action Programme) document "Compost Specifications for the Landscape Industry", which has been supported by the Landscape Institute and BALI.
