Metered Charges

One of our key aims is to make charges reflect, as closely as possible, the cost of the services we provide. As a customer using a water meter you will be billed directly for all water and waste water services. When we send your bill it may consist of the following elements, depending on which Scottish Water services you have:

• Annual Fixed Charges

• Volumetric Charges

• Property and Roads Drainage Charges

The average metered household customer will typically have a 15mm or 20mm water meter installed.

If your home has a water meter the metered charges from 1 April 2011 until 31 March 2012 are:

Annual Fixed Charges

The annual fixed charge is based on the size of the meter serving your house or property.

Volumetric Charges

These water and waste water charges are based on the volume of water recorded on the meter serving your property.
