Road Traffic Management for Water Upgrades in Kerse

Roadworks Generic

Essential upgrade works began on Monday 16th October, and involve the refurbishment of some key water infrastructure – a treated water supply tank at Kerse – and water pipe upgrades on the B730.

These improvements will help improve the resilience of the local water network and ensure customers in the area continue to enjoy great-tasting Scottish Water.

To enable these works to be carried out safely, a road closure will be in place on a stretch of the B730 from Stabneoch to the A713 at Kerse Cottageuntil around Wednesday 25 October. Once the new water pipes have been laid, temporary two-way traffic lights will be in operation for the remainder of the works which are expected to take around two weeks for completion. All road traffic management will be agreed in liaison with South Ayrshire Council.

A diversion route will be in place and publicised ahead of the works. Road users are advised to leave extra time for travel as delays are expected.

We thank everyone in advance for their patience and understanding while these essential works are under way.
