Garelochhead Water Mains Upgrade

We are advising road users about road traffic management near the Faslane Naval Base as part of a million pound water mains upgrade investment.

From Tuesday 11 April work will begin replacing the water main along the route of the A814 to improve the resilience of the water network in the Garelochhead area.

Starting from the roundabout at the north gate of the naval base there will be a rolling programme of work over approximately eight months.

Roadworks will be in place at times including temporary traffic lights, diversions and some access and parking restrictions. We would ask that people allow extra time for their journeys, follow all of the signs put in place. We will do all that we can to minimise any disruption.”

The project is due to complete at Maidstone Road just before the Peace Camp.
