We're advising road users in Cairndow, Argyll and Bute of some road traffic management during £600,000 worth of upgrades to the local water infrastructure.

Improvement works begin near to the Strone Estate on Monday 29 March, 2021, before progressing to Old Military Road where road traffic management will be in place to enable the works to be carried out safely.

From week beginning Monday 5 April, Old Military Road will be closed between the A83 and Ardkinglas Woodland Garden.

A rolling road closure will then be in place as works progress along the Old Military Road towards the Old Smiddy.

The work is expected to take around four months for completion and will help reduce the risk of pipes bursting, ensuring customers continue to enjoy clear, fresh, great-tasting Scottish water.

Road traffic management has been agreed in conjunction with Argyll & Bute Council.

Drivers are urged to follow local diversions. Local access will be maintained throughout.
