Dolphinton Water Mains Upgrade

We are investing over £1.5million to improve the resilience of the water supply for customers in and around Dolphinton, South Lanarkshire.

Work begins along the A702 at Hillside Gardens from Monday 20th March 2023 to upgrade around two miles of 4-inch water mains.

Traffic management will be required and has been agreed in discussion with BEAR Scotland and Transport Scotland.

We will do all that we can to minimise the impact and disruption for residents and road users for the duration of the works which are expected to last around 32 weeks.

There is a history of low pressure and bursts in the area. When completed, the project will greatly improve the resilience of the supply ensuring customers continue to enjoy clear, fresh drinking water, while reducing the chance of pipes bursting.
