Emergency Road Works Glasgow City Centre
What we are doing
Road users are being advised of emergency road works in Glasgow City Centre.
A short section of Ingram Street in Glasgow City Centre has been reduced to one lane to allow emergency repairs to a partially collapsed sewer.
The 30-metre section from Glassford Street towards Queen Street will allow Scottish Water to access the damaged area of sewer and determine how it can be repaired.
Road traffic management has been agreed with Glasgow City Council. Access will be maintained to Virginia Place for residents and guests at the Mercure Glasgow City Hotel.
More information on timescales for the traffic management and work to be carried out will be issued once a full assessment of the damage has been made.
