Wormit sewer upgrade

07 February 2018

Scottish Water is due to begin essential work to upgrade the sewer network in Wormit on Monday 19 February 2018 for around six weeks.

The project to install two new sections of sewer and new manholes will take place on B946 between Flass Road and Rankine Court.  Work is also required on the access road to Woodhaven Pier from Rankine Court to install a new section of sewer and carry out sewer lining work.

Scott Fraser, Scottish Water’s corporate affairs regional manager, said: “During the works three-way traffic lights located on B946 (St Ford Road) will be in place for approximately two weeks with access to Rankin Court maintained.

“During the work on the access road to Woodhaven Pier from Rankine Court, the road will be closed to all traffic for a period of approximately five days.”

“Our site cabin will be located at Woodhaven Pier and our team will liaise with affected residents in advance regarding temporary access arrangements.

“We’d like to thank the local community in advance for their patience and understanding whilst this essential work is carried out.”
