Scottish Water Annual Report 2014-15

Our customers are benefiting from an average household charge which continues to be lower than the average household charge in England and Wales.

We invested £470 million in 2014/15, and a total of £2.4 billion during our 2010-15 investment programme, to enhance Scotland’s water infrastructure, including the construction of new treatment works and the upgrading of thousands of miles of pipes. As well as improving services, this has helped to enhance the environment, while supporting vital jobs.

We have sustained the highest ever level of drinking water provided to our customers. In 2014, 99.89 per cent of samples taken at customers’ taps complied with strict regulatory standards.

At the same time, we were able to achieve our best ever environmental performance and we are continuing to build an increasingly sustainable business.
