What we are doing
Work is progressing on a flood risk reduction project in Bishopbriggs which will help reduce the risk of sewer flooding in Muirhead Way and Fallklands Crecent.
As part of this project we will be upgrading the sewer system by increasing the capacity of the sewer network to reduce the risk of flooding. Last year we carried out site investigation works with our alliance partner amey, Black and Veatch and work is scheduled to take place soon.
We held an information event on Wednesday 18th September 2019 to discuss our proposals.
Update January 2020
From Monday 13th January we will start working on the next phase of work at Woodhill Road & Greenhill. There will be a section of Woodhill Road closed just passed the junction leading into Rossie Crescent and Angus Avenue with local traffic diversions put in place. This work should take approximately 10 weeks to complete and Woodhill Road will be closed for 4 weeks.
