We're advising road users in the south of Glasgow of some road traffic management to enable preparatory work ahead of investment in improvements to our infrastructure and service to customers.

On Monday 14 September, work will start on a stretch of Broomloan Road between its junction with Edmiston Drive and Ardo Gardens.

To enable this work to be carried out, there will be a road closure of the northbound and southbound carriageways of Broomloan Road from its junction with Edmiston Drive to its junction with Ardo Gardens.

A diversion will be in place via Edmiston Drive, Paisley Road West and Helen Street.

Work is being carried out by our alliance partner, Caledonia Water Alliance, and is expected to take around seven weeks for completion. During this time access to and from Ardo Gardens and the Esso Garage on Broomloan Road will be possible via Paisley Road West.

Twenty-four hour working will be in place during the first week to help speed up the project and keep disruption to a minimum. Thereafter, work will be carried out between 8am and 7pm.

The temporary road traffic management has been agreed in liaison with Glasgow City Council’s roads department and other relevant organisations. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience and thank road users for their patience and understanding.
