From Monday 18 January 2021, a stretch of Mugdock Road from just after Drumclog car park until 600 metres north of the entrance to Drumclog car park will be closed to vehicle traffic.

Drumclog car park will remain open with limited parking and the area will be accessible for pedestrians and cyclists.

Road traffic management has been agreed in conjunction with East Dunbartonshire Council and is anticipated to be in place for around eight weeks.

Drivers are urged to follow diversions and allow extra time for travel.

This is a live construction site which will include excavation work. The road closure and restrictions are in place to protect our workforce and members of the public. We appreciate these vital works are disruptive, and we are working to keep any disruption to a minimum. However, we would ask everyone to respect any restrictions and adhere to local diversions.

We apologise for any inconvenience and would like to thank road users, pedestrians and cyclists in advance for their patience and understanding.

The road closure is required to enable work to progress on a £30m project to improve services to customers in in parts of the Bearsden, Milngavie, Clydebank and Strathblane areas.

The work is being carried out for Scottish Water by its alliance partners Caledonia Water Alliance (CWA).
