We are investing in the sewer network in Armadale to help reduce the risk of sewer flooding in Brown Street.

We are upgrading the existing sewer system by installing additional capacity in the sewer network both along Brown Street and along Station Road.

Work is due to start on the 26th October with the site cabins being set up on the cul-de-sac just off Station Road.  It is expected that the work will take around 10 months to complete

The work will include the installation of a new storage culvert, which is essentially a large storage pipe for when there is excessive rainfall, along a section of Brown Street. We will also be installing a new storage pipe along a section of Station Road immediately south of Brown Street (see maps below).

To enable the work to be carried out safety a section of Brown Street requires a road closure from early/mid November. Diversions will be in place so please follow all signs. Parking and access will be affected and pedestrian footpaths will be available where possible and areas where we are working will be fenced off for security and health & safety purposes. If footpaths are closed crossing points will be provided. Access for emergency vehicles will be accommodated if needed.
There will also be road works on Station Road with a lane closure and 3-way temporary lights in use.
