Moffat View Plains

Moffat View sewer repairs

Following the collapse of the road in Moffat View in March 2016, Scottish Water in collaboration with North Lanarkshire Council, is investing £800k to repair and upgrade the damaged sewer pipes to prevent further flooding. The work involves the installation of two new manholes and a new section of sewer. While the work is on-going temporary over-pumping will be carried out but will be removed once the work is complete.

The project started in late September and has made good progress. All infrastructure is now in place, however, the sheet piling is still in place and reinstatement works are still required.

North Lanarkshire Council will be also working alongside us to mitigate the issues with ground water. They will be commencing with their works once we have completed ours. We would like to thank the community for their continued patience and cooperation while we carry out these essential works.
