Investment in the South of Scotland

Scottish Water is delivering one of the largest investment programmes in the UK water industry during 2010-15.
Glencorse from the air
This includes more than £550 million of expenditure in the South of Scotland on improving services for our customers, such as through the upgrading of water mains in Berwickshire, the new Glencorse Water Treatment Works in Edinburgh, and the expansion of reservoirs at Black Esk and Penwhirn in Dumfries and Galloway.
These kinds of projects help to support jobs, boost local economies and improve services for the benefit of our customers. In doing so, we want to make a positive difference to the communities we serve and build value and trust in the service we provide.
