Septic tank desludging

Septic tank services

We promote good environmental practice and we’re committed to operating our services efficiently and cost-effectively

There are three levels of service available:

Scheduled Service

When you sign an application for service with us, we will de-sludge your septic tank at agreed intervals. A planned schedule of regular de-sludging services helps to keep your charges - and our costs - down. This service is charged at the approved rates in operation at the time of each de-sludging service.

Unscheduled Service

If you don't want to enter into a contract with us, we will de-sludge your septic tank within 5 working days of your request where possible, but this may take up to 28 days maximum. This service is more expensive to provide than the scheduled service, so the charges are higher.

If, for any reason, we are unable to accommodate the above timescales, you will be notified at the time of booking.

For customers in the following postcode areas we need to make special arrangements. We will contact you to agree a date:  PA20-27 and KA27-28.

Urgent Response Service

If you need your septic tank de-sludged urgently we'll aim to attend within 2 working days of your request where possible. This urgent response service is the most expensive for us to provide and this is reflected in the charge.

If we're unable to accommodate the above timescales, you will be notified at the time of booking.

Providing Access to Your Septic Tank

We'll let you know when our tanker is likely to call, so that you can make some necessary preparations:

  • Make sure your tank is accessible for our tankers
  • Remove any earth or debris from the tank lid and ensure that the covers are exposed and ready for lifting
  • The tank lid should be capable of being safely lifted by one person; if a second person is required you may incur an additional charge
  • Ensure we can access your septic tank so we can provide you with an efficient service

Remember, maintaining your tank regularly helps us to provide you with a more effective service.
