Scottish Water are proud to share, promote and inspire inclusion practices and culture across the workplace to create a better environment for all with Recite Me accessibility and language tools available on our website.
The theme for National Inclusion Week 2022 is ‘Time to Act: The Power of Now’ as we progress our unity created in previous years and turn it into action.
To support everyone online, we provide the Recite Me accessibility software on our external www.scottishwater.co.uk website, supporting those with disabilities, learning difficulties, visual impairments, or people who speak English as a second language.
Together with Recite Me we are on a mission to create an inclusive digital world, providing barrier-free access to online information and services. Recite Me have saw over 2.2 million people using their toolbar, viewing over 12 million pages in a way that best suits their individual needs.
Accessing the toolbar
On the top menu, click 'Accessibility Toolbar' - as shown highlighted in red.
Alastair Kerr, Customer Experience Project Manager said “As part of our commitment to supporting customers in individual circumstances, we’re excited to launch the new Recite me toolbar on the Scottish Water website to help ensure customers can interact with our information and services in a way that suits them. This new development will help neurodiverse or visually impaired customers and those who don’t speak English as a first language.“
