Time Running Out to Participate in Reservoir Survey

We're urging visitors to take part in an online survey about Carron Valley and North Third reservoirs before the closing date on Friday 26th November, 2021. 

The Stirlingshire beauty spots are popular destinations for a variety of visitors; from dog walkers and ramblers to mountain bikers and water sports enthusiasts.

The survey will use visitors’ experiences and opinions to help shape the future of the reservoirs.

Georgina Reid, Scottish Water’s corporate affairs regional manager in the west said: “We want to hear from anyone who has an interest or an opinion.

“Both reservoirs are important to the local community and it is our responsibility to plan and prepare their futures in a safe and sustainable way.

“To make truly informed decisions we need know what people enjoy, what they expect and what they would like to see.”

Carron Valley supplies approximately 135,000 customers and many key business customers within the Forth Valley and surrounding areas. North Third Reservoir is no longer used as a source of drinking water.

Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS) is just one of Scottish Water’s key partners with a strong interest. They manage the land around Carron Valley Reservoir and are also keen to hear people’s views.
