project statys delivery

Project Overview:

Scottish Water is investing in the waste water infrastructure in East Lothian with a £5.6M upgrade to the existing East Linton Waste Water Treatment Works (WWTW).

What we are doing:

Work started in October 2022 and is expected to take around 18 months to complete.

The work will involve the construction of an extension to the existing East Linton WWTW, forming new below ground tanks, new above ground process units, new above ground kiosks and associated pipework. This will increase capacity at the site by 35% per cent.

  • A temporary site compound will also be placed next to the site while the project is ongoing.
  • Once construction begins, there will be an increase in activity at the treatment works.
  • There will be an increase in deliveries as we bring in machinery and materials.

We will make sure every precaution is in place to minimise disruption in the area.

The project is being delivered by our alliance partners ESD (Efficient Service Delivery).
