Elmbank Street Sewer Repair

We are carrying out an emergency sewer repair on Elmbank Street in Glasgow City Centre. 

A large sinkhole has appeared in the carriageway close to the junction with St Vincent Street following heavy rain requiring a full road closure on safety grounds.

The area has been fenced off, and we will carry out a full inspection of the sinkhole and our sewer which appears to have been damaged.

At this stage we cannot say how long any repair will take but we will do all that we can to complete any necessary work as quickly as safety will allow. Local businesses remain open, but we would advise drivers to follow all signs and allow extra time for their journeys.
