The road will be closed to southbound traffic heading from Bathgate into Whitburn
We are carrying out urgent sewer replacement work on Armadale Road in Whitburn, West Lothian.
A pipe running beneath a pavement is in extremely poor condition and approximately 100 metres will be replaced.
Beginning on Tuesday 9 December 2025 southbound traffic heading from Bathgate into Whitburn will be diverted along the B7066 towards Heartlands.
The road will remain open to vehicles travelling from Whitburn town centre towards Armadale and Bathgate.
Everything will be done to carry out the work as quickly as safety will allow. We would like to thank everyone affected for their patience and understanding.
