Culburnie Water Main Upgrade
Project Overview
Scottish Water is carrying out work to upgrade the water network in Culburnie. These improvements will help ensure customers continue to enjoy fresh, clear drinking water for years to come and reduce the risk of burst pipes.
Work will begin from Monday, 24 November 2025 and is expected to last approximately five months.
The work is being delivered by Morrison Construction on our behalf.

What We Are Doing
Work will start on Kinerras Road on Monday, 24 November 2025, and last approximately five months.
There will be some roadworks taking place during the dates mentioned above, including a planned road closure. We’ll share further details with you once the exact closure dates are confirmed.
Before and after the closure, some minor traffic management may be in place. This is expected to be minimal and will mainly involve barrier fencing around small excavation areas.
During the closure itself, all work will remain within the verge, meaning local access will be maintained at all times.
We are continuing to liaise with Highland Council to agree on the most suitable arrangements, and we’re hopeful that confirmation will be available soon.
The work is being delivered by our contractor, Morrison Construction.
