Dunvegan Water Mains Upgrade
Project Overview
We have completed a £3.5 million investment to upgrade around 13km of water mains serving customers in the Dunvegan, Roskhill, and Roag area of Skye.
This work has helped ensure customers now benefit from a more reliable supply of clear, fresh drinking water, with a reduced risk of bursts for many years to come.
The project was delivered by our alliance partner, Caledonia Water Alliance (CWA), alongside contractor Global Infrastructure Services.

Why We Are Doing This
We recognise that some customers in and around Dunvegan, Roskhill, Roag and Orbost have experienced significant disruption to their service in recent years – and we would like to apologise for this.
We appreciate the community’s patience while we undertook this significant investment in the water network, which will help to secure a more reliable service for the future.
