Cloverfield Park Inverness

Reducing the risk of surface water flooding
Work is progressing well and is expected to be complete by mid-October. This is slightly longer than anticipated but has been unavoidable due to adverse weather conditions and uncharted services in the ground.
Work to help reduce the risk of surface water flooding in Cloverfield Park is now underway.
Improvements are being made to two existing underground surface water tanks, to reduce the risk of surface water flooding in the residential area.
The work, which is being delivered by Clancy, began on Monday 11 August and is now expected to be completed by mid-October.

New bypass pipework has been laid

Upgraded manhole chambers have been installed
Latest Update - October
All of the bypass pipework and manhole chambers have now been installed.
The team has also carried out preparatory works ahead of the final silt trap being installed. This has involved further excavation works and shoring being installed to support the excavation.
They have also cleared debris and silt from existing chambers and nearby gullies.
Once the final silt trap has been successfully installed, attention will turn to reinstating areas where work has been carried out.
All going well, we anticipate works to be completed and the team to demobilise from the area by around mid-October.
