We will be replacing existing storm overflows and upsizing the associated sewer pipework and manhole chambers at both Woodside Road and Laurencecroft Road in Stirling.

  • Work at Woodside Road is due to begin on Monday 13 October 2025, with an expected completion by Autumn 2026.
    • A section of footpath at Woodside Road will be closed during the works. A signed diversion will be in place.
  • Work at Laurencecroft Road is scheduled to begin at the end of November 2025 and is expected to be completed in November 2026.
    • A section of the cycle path route will be closed at Laurencroft Road during the works. A signed diversion will be in place.
  • Our site compound will be set up in between the two streets at Ochil Crescent for the duration of the works.

Why We Are Doing It

Working closely with the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) Scottish Water identified priority storm overflows for improvement or replacement.

Under the banner ‘Draining the Rain, Enhancing the Environment’ the Improving Urban Waters investment will help reduce spills and prevent sewage related debris such as wet wipes from entering the environment during periods of rainfall.

Latest Update - October 2025

Our teams are currently preparing for starting on site at Woodside Road on Monday 13th October 2025.
