Update August 2024

Since mid-July, lanes have been closed to allow our teams to work safely as they move the water main across the road and install new pipework in the grass verge towards Saughs Avenue.

We have now completed the work at the entrance to the retail park one week ahead of schedule which has helped to alleviate traffic issues in the area. Full reinstatement of the affected area has yet to be completed so the stretch of grass will remain fenced off until this has taken place.

We appreciate the work has had a significant impact on traffic so thank commuters and businesses for their patience and understanding while this essential work was completed.

The next phase will take place further down Monument Drive dual carriageway, with a lane closure in place.

Robroyston Traffic Management

Traffic Management at ASDA and Robroyston Retail Park in July 2024

Traffic management will be required in phases as the project progresses, with phase one beginning at ASDA and Robroyston Retail Park

At this location:

We will be relocating the water main across the exit road from ASDA Robroyston and Robroyston Retail Park before installing new pipework under the grass verge towards Saughs Avenue.

Traffic management will be required in phases as the project progresses, beginning with a lane closure on the roundabout and the B765 Eastbound.

The roundabout will be reduced to one lane while the left hand lane of the exit slip road from the retail park will be closed.

The eastbound carriageway of the B765 towards Saughs Avenue will be reduced to one lane until pipe laying on the grass verge has reached the footpath.

Traffic management on the roundabout and exit slip road will then be removed apart from signs warning of the works on the B765 where the inside lane will be coned off only where pipe laying is being carried out on the grass verge.
