Stevenston Rising Sewer Main Burst

Laying a Path

Specialised track is being laid to allow heaving machinery to access the site safely

We are carrying out an urgent repair on two potential bursts on a 700mm rising sewer main in Stevenston.

Sink holes have appeared in the middle of grassland next to Ardeer Primary school suggesting issues with the underground pipe.

The area is being fenced off and we are mobilising materials and machinery to site to allow us to begin excavating and assess the damage to the rising main and what repairs may be required.

The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) will be kept informed and up to date and everything will be done to minimise any impact on the environment and disruption for residents.

We would like to thank everyone affected for their patience and understanding.
